  • haddock fillets
    4 fillets
  • frozen diced onions
    60 g
  • butter
    30 g
  • plain flour
    30 g
  • milk
    300 ml
  • pre made mashed potatoes
    600 g

Method

    1. Add a kettle full of boiling water to a saucepan and place on the heat. Once simmering, lower the haddock fillets into the water along with 1 tsp salt and simmer for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside, flake the fish.
    2. Add the butter to a saucepan. Once melted add the diced onion cook until soft. Add the flour, mix well then slowly add the milk whisking until thickened. 
    3. Stir through the fish and mash adding a splash more milk if it is too thick. Season with salt and pepper.
  1. To freeze

    Add to a freeze bag and freeze flat 

     

    Defrost and heat through in the microwave until piping hot when needed.
