'Grab and Cook' Strawberry Peach Crumble Crisp
This lovely summery crumble is a great grab and cook recipe that saves space in the freezer as you are freezing the fruit and crumble separately. Make the most of the summer strawberries and give this recipe a go!

Ingredients

strawberries, halved500 g

tinned peaches1 tin (400 g)

cornflour3 tbsp

caster sugar0.25 cups

plain flour2 cups (220 g)

soft butter100 g

jumbo oats0.5 cups

brown sugar3 tbsp

caster sugar3 tablespoon

cinnamon1 tsp
Method

To a large freezer bag add the strawberries, peach slices, cornflour and caster sugar. Mix well.

To a mixing bowl add the flour and butter. Using your fingers, rub the butter into the flour until you have breadcrumbs. Stir through the oats, sugars and cinnamon and pour into a smaller bag. Slot inside with the fruit and seal the bag.

Ready to freeze
Place the bag flat in the freezer.

Ready to cook
Remove from the freezer and leave to defrost. Pour the fruit into an ovenproof dish and cover with the crumble topping. Place into the oven at 180oc for 25-30 minutes.
Loved this, so easy and tasty. I used fresh peaches as managed to get some for reduced price. I split this recipe, so half as a dump bag and half cooked and eaten that day 😋 Definitely making again though next time I will cut back on sugar as a bit sweet for me but, I guess that may have be down to the super ripe, in season fruit used 😀
