Gluten Free Chocolate Almond Torte
This is the most amazing chocolate torte. Rich, decadent and gluten free!
Nutrition (per serving)
Dark chocolate250 g
caster sugar250 g
ground almonds75 g
almond essence1 tsp
- Preheat the oven to 160oc.
- Line a 9inch springform tin with greaseproof paper and butter the sides.
- Place the chocolate and butter in a large saucepan and melt on a low heat. Once melted, take off the heat and add in the sugar and ground almonds and mix well. Next add the eggs one by one, whisking in between and then stir in the almond essence.
- Pour the batter into the tin and place in the oven for 45 minutes until set in the middle. Leave to cool in the tin.
Ready to freeze
Once cool, wrap up well in cling film and store in the freezer.
Ready to eat
Remove from the freezer and leave to defrost. Slice up and serve.
