Bacon and chorizo pasta bags
This video shows you how to make this pasta sauce in large quantities. The recipe is for 4 people but you can use the double or triple feature to increase the quantities if you are making more portions for the freezer.

Ingredients

Olive oil1 tablespoon

frozen diced onions1 cup (115 g)

Bacon4 rashers (40 g)

Chopped chorizo0.5 cups (40 g)

Chopped tomato1 tin (500 g)

Passata1 carton (500 g)

Tomato Puree2 tablespoon (70 g)

Mushroom1 cup (70 g)

Oregano1 tablespoon

salt and pepper1 pinch
Method

Heat a splash of oil in a frying pan and fry the onions.

As your onions are browning chop the chorizo and bacon and add to the pan. Stir every few minutes to make sure it is all cooking evenly.

As this is cooking start on your sauce – take a medium sized pan and add in your chopped tomatoes, passata, tomato puree and herbs. Now stir in your frozen mushrooms and allow the sauce to heat while your onions cook in the other pan.

Once both pans are cooked, mix all ingredients together and leave to cool.

Ready for the freezer
Portion into a labelled bag, and freeze flat.

Ready To Eat
Defrost bag, add to pan and heat over a medium heat until piping hot.
Cook pasta, and serve sauce over the hot pasta.
Your recipe has chicken in it and doesn’t include the sauce so I was totally not prepared.
