This week I am in the kitchen with my assistant Nicola who is teaching you how to make a super easy bolognese recipe- a student staple! This recipe makes enough for 2 portions so you can have one that evening and freeze the other portion for another night! This recipe is paired back to the basics and super cheap to make, why not share it with someone heading to uni!

Ingredients:

1/2 onion, finely chopped

1 tsp chopped frozen garlic

250g beef mince (or plant based if preferred)

1 x 400g tin chopped tomatoes

250ml passata

1 tsp oregano salt and pepper

Method:

1. Soften the onion and garlic in a frying pan with 1 tbsp oil.

2. Once soft add the beef mince and brown all over before adding the chopped tomatoes, passata, oregano and salt and pepper. Leave to cook on a medium heat for around 20 minutes. Serve up and enjoy!
