Ingredients

  • Sausages
    12 oz
  • Tesco finest wild sage and buttered onion stuffing (or packet)
    1 packet
  • Fresh orange juice
    0.25 cups (60 ml)
  • Chopped chestnuts (or cranberries)
    0.25 cups

Method

  1. Take your sausage meat and put it into a bowl.

  2. Add your sage and onion stuffing mix, the orange juice, chopped chestnuts or cranberries or both.

  3. And need together until all mixed through.

  4. You can add salt and Pepper at this stage if you wish.

  5. Ready to freeze

Put the large ball of mixture into a Labelled sealed freezer bag and squash until flat.

Remember if it’s flat it takes up less space in your freezer and defrosts quicker.

  6. Ready to Eat

Simply defrost and stuff it into your turkey!
Follow the guidelines for cooking the turkey and the stuffing will cook with it.

If cooking separately to the turkey, form into a loaf shape on a baking tray and place in the oven at 180oc for 30-40 minutes.

    1. Best to remove from the freezer and leave to defrost in the fridge overnight in a dish. Hope that helps!

  1. Hi, so this would be suitable for vegetarians if you used veggie sausage? Would you say this cheats one is as good as the one you have using stale bread etc? Thanks
