Sage and Onion Christmas Stuffing
Christmas stuffing is a must and this recipe is wonderfully easy. Get organised for Christmas and get this stuffing made in advance and popped in the freezer.
Nutrition (per serving)
Ingredients

Sausages12 oz

Tesco finest wild sage and buttered onion stuffing (or packet)1 packet

Fresh orange juice0.25 cups (60 ml)

Chopped chestnuts (or cranberries)0.25 cups
Method

Take your sausage meat and put it into a bowl.

Add your sage and onion stuffing mix, the orange juice, chopped chestnuts or cranberries or both.

And need together until all mixed through.

You can add salt and Pepper at this stage if you wish.

Ready to freeze
Put the large ball of mixture into a Labelled sealed freezer bag and squash until flat.
Remember if it’s flat it takes up less space in your freezer and defrosts quicker.

Ready to Eat
Simply defrost and stuff it into your turkey!
Follow the guidelines for cooking the turkey and the stuffing will cook with it.If cooking separately to the turkey, form into a loaf shape on a baking tray and place in the oven at 180oc for 30-40 minutes.
Can I ask the best way to defrost this please?
Best to remove from the freezer and leave to defrost in the fridge overnight in a dish. Hope that helps!

if i make this with packet stuffing mix do i need to prepare it with hot water as per the packet instructions?
